June’s chapter meeting is scheduled for June 10th. Location suggestions are welcome. We have some big speakers lined up for the next few months and we will be posting those as they are confirmed. Everyone please make sure you have registered and submitted your nominations for our chapters board of directors as voting will take place shortly, either online or via email.

The first two weeks of this month has been difficult for some of our board members. The death of a great man, mentor, and boss has effected us and myself personally in ways I have yet to fully grasp. The loss of Mac McGregor is a hard one to take; He provided a great deal of guidance in the creation of this ISSA chapter and life in general. His obituary can be found here.
I’m not sure if a chapter meeting will take place this month or not but we have a lot of business that needs to be taken care of. If you have not made your nomination for the new Officers Board, now is the time to do it. We will be voting soon. Also, there will be some new updates to this site that will allow more interaction with the group as well as learning materials will be constantly posted and updated so stay tuned for that.

On a side note, to the people in the Ukraine, Poland, and Russia, we appreciate y’all registering manually for the site in an attempt to exploit holes in code I removed before the site went live and it has brought me joy and laughter watching these attempts. However in the end, I am just going to delete your account and ban your country from the site. In the interest of sharing knowledge, instead of blasting random exploits that won’t work, try enumerating the plug-in versions, download those and look for holes. We did before we installed them and notified the developers after patching them, but you may find something we missed. :)
